The type of information that has changed the education system is computer based, using technology to teach and run the education institutions. When it comes to running the education institutions there is a lot of planning and collection of data of students which has to be done.  Technological devices such as computers are very useful as they have software and applications that can be used to manage and analyse data. Technology hasn’t only helped the education institution but also the students themselves.

In classrooms teaching has become an easier job. Students are allowed to have technological devices as a “second teacher”. They are able to quickly use the web to get more information about what they are learning. It’s like accessing more knowledge on their fingertips. Teachers no longer use the whiteboard (chalkboard). They use laptops and present work as slides in the classroom. This change has a great impact as there is more time for teachers to explain to students than spending half of their time writing down on the chalkboard. This might only relate to students in Tertiary but students can use their devices to such as cell phone, iPads, tablets etc. to take pictures of slides in class which allows them to pay more attention to what the teacher is saying rather than copying down the notes. Teachers are able to show videos of which relate to the topic they are teaching for more illustration or examples.

Education institutions provide computers for students to work with for example to do their research projects through software like Microsoft Office. This plays a big role regarding the fact they become computer literate and such skills are required from employees working in organisations.

The education sector continues to make technology a big part of the learner’s academic life. Even younger kids from primary are being taught how to use computers.

This change is called “Integration” for more information click "play" to the videos below!
